Pica Dry Metal Set - Automatic Pencil and Metal Scriber Needle - 30800

Pica 30800 Dry Metal Set is a bundle of the Pica Dry automatic pencil and a carbide scriber needle. The pencil has a grey cap and comes loaded with the standard 2B graphite lead, while the needle sits in a separate plastic tube. The manufacturer presents the set as "the ultimate upgrade" for anyone working with metal: one pencil lets you mark in graphite and scribe precisely on metal.

Carbide scriber needle

The needle is made of tungsten carbide, 2.8 mm in diameter and 30 mm long. According to Pica it allows very precise scribing of metal surfaces for a long time and does not wear out even after long periods of use. When not in use, the needle is stored safely in the practical plastic tube. The manufacturer stresses that the metal needle must be inserted into the pencil from behind to protect the mechanism.

The Pica Dry automatic pencil

The Pica Dry is Pica's professional automatic construction pencil, suitable for almost all surfaces. It takes leads of 2.8 mm diameter and 125 mm length, and has a push mechanism that feeds the lead through a stainless steel tube, a holster with a special clip for one-hand operation and a patented sharpener integrated in the holster. The shaft has a roll stop, and the design offers dust and moisture protection.

Grey cap and safe handling

The pencil in the set has a grey cap so that it can be told apart quickly in a trouser pocket, on the workbench or on the tool belt. The quiver cap allows safe handling without risk of injury. The standard FOR ALL 2B lead writes on almost all surfaces, and various refill leads are available for the Pica Dry for other tasks.

What is in the set

The set comes in a 70 x 235 mm blister and contains a Pica Dry pencil with a grey cap and a 2B graphite lead, plus a plastic tube with 1 scriber needle. Pica also offers a spare needle separately (article 55804).
