Bosch Professional Adjustable Wrench 150 mm / 6", 1600 A03 B65 The Bosch 1600 A03 B65 is an adjustable wrench with an overall length of 150 mm (6") and a jaw opening range of 0 - 24 mm. One wrench replaces a whole row of fixed spanners: the same jaw covers small fasteners and nuts up to 24 mm, which makes it useful for installation, repair and maintenance work where the fastener sizes are not known in advance. Construction and materials The body is made of carbon steel for strength and durability. The reinforced jaw structure delivers high power transfer from the hand to the fastener - Bosch states a torque rating of +40% against the standard. The wrench conforms to ISO 6787, the international standard for adjustable wrenches, which defines dimensions, opening range and strength requirements. Handling and safety The handle is a multi-component design with soft-grip areas that reduce fatigue during long jobs and improve control when hands are oily. The jaw carries a metric graduation so the wrench can be set to the nut or bolt size directly, without trial and error. A tether hole is formed at the end of the handle - the tool can be attached with a lanyard when working on scaffolding, a platform or a roof, so it cannot fall from height. Applications Plumbing and heating installations, automotive work, machine maintenance, assembly of steel structures and furniture, and any situation where a single tool has to cover a wide range of sizes. The flat head also reaches into openings where a ratchet and socket cannot be turned. Care Keep the worm screw free of dust and metal chips and lubricate it occasionally with a few drops of machine oil - this keeps the jaw adjustment smooth. The wrench is not intended to be struck with a hammer and must not be extended with a pipe.Technical specifications BrandBosch Professional Part number1600 A03 B65 EAN4059952741260 TypeAdjustable wrench Length150 mm Length in inches6" Opening range0 - 24 mm Torque vs. standard+40% MaterialCarbon steel HandleMulti-component, with soft-grip areas GraduationMetric, on the jaw Tether holeYes StandardISO 6787 Pack quantity1 pc PackagingCardboard packaging, hanger, with Euro hole Questions and Answers What is the largest nut 1600 A03 B65 will take? The jaw opens to 24 mm. That is the range Bosch publishes for this part number - 0 - 24 mm. Larger fasteners need the longer version from the same range. What is the difference between the four lengths in the range? Bosch offers 150, 200, 250 and 300 mm with opening ranges of 0-24, 0-32, 0-36 and 0-42 mm respectively. A longer wrench gives more leverage and a wider jaw, but it is heavier and needs more swing room. Does the jaw have a metric scale? Yes. The movable jaw carries a millimetre graduation, so the wrench can be preset to the nut or bolt size. What is the hole at the end of the handle for? It is a tether hole. It is used when working at height - on scaffolding, a platform or a roof - so the tool stays attached if it is dropped. What material is the wrench made from? Carbon steel. Bosch states a torque rating of +40% against the standard for this size, in conformity with ISO 6787. Is it suitable for working on pipes? The flat jaws are designed for nuts and bolts with parallel flats. Round pipe needs water pump pliers or a pipe wrench - the smooth jaw of an adjustable wrench slips on a round surface. Can the handle be extended with a pipe for more torque? No. Extending it with a pipe loads the mechanism and the jaw beyond design limits and is a common cause of play developing in the wrench. If more torque is needed, use a suitable ring spanner or a socket. ..

STROXX Hex Key Set, Colour-Coded, 9 Pieces, 1.5-10 mm, 100-770 STROXX 100-770 is a set of nine long-arm hex keys in sizes from 1.5 to 10 mm, each in its own colour, with a ball end on the long arm and a plastic holder. EAN 5707436069582. The colour is a function, not decoration The nine keys are powder-coated in different colours, and the size is printed on the holder below each slot. When you are working with fasteners in several sizes - typical on furniture, bicycles, machine covers and aluminium profiles - hunting for the right key disappears. Once learned, a colour is recognised from a distance and with dirty hands, which in practice beats reading a stamped size. The ball end The long arm ends in a ball point. It engages the screw socket at angles up to roughly 25-30° and lets you drive fasteners where the key cannot be brought square - behind a rib, down a recess, close to a wall. The straight end on the short arm stays for final tightening and for breaking a fastener loose: that is where the load peaks and it has to be carried by the full wall of the socket, or the hex rounds out. Long arms These are the long-arm series. The long arm not only reaches further - it is noticeably more comfortable: spinning with the long arm gives the hand a wider sweep, and tightening with the short arm turns the long one into a proper lever. The finish is nickel-plated and powder-coated, a combination that stops rust while holding the colour. The holder The set comes in a plastic holder with a slot for every size and a hanging hole. Keys come out and go back one at a time and stay in size order - the difference between a set that is still complete six months on and a handful of keys loose in the bottom of a bag. Sizes in the set 1.5 mm, 2 mm, 2.5 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm 5 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm Technical specifications ManufacturerSTROXX Article number100-770 EAN5707436069582 TypeHex keys (L-shaped) Pieces9 Sizes1.5 / 2 / 2.5 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 8 / 10 mm Long armBall end Short armStraight hex Arm lengthLong-arm series FinishNickel-plated, powder-coated Colour codingYes, by size HolderPlastic, slot per size, hanging hole Questions and Answers Which sizes are in the set? Nine metric sizes - 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 mm. That is the standard range for furniture and machine fasteners. There are no imperial sizes. What is the ball end for? It lets you drive a fastener at up to roughly 25-30° off the screw axis - behind a rib, down a recess or close to a wall, where the key cannot be brought square. Use it for spinning fasteners in and out, not for final tightening. Which end do I tighten with? The straight hex on the short arm. There the load is carried by the full wall of the socket. Tightening or breaking loose a tight fastener with the ball end puts the load on a small contact patch and rounds the socket out. Why are the keys different colours? The colour codes the size. When you are working across several sizes, the eye picks up a colour far faster than it reads a stamped number - especially in poor light and with dirty hands. The holder also prints the size in figures below each slot. What do the long arms give me? Reach to deeper-set fasteners, and more leverage. Spinning with the long arm gives the hand a wider sweep; tightening with the short arm turns the long arm into a long lever, so the same effort produces more torque. Will they rust? The surface is nickel-plated and powder-coated on top. The nickel stops corrosion and the powder coat holds the colour while adding protection. Even so, dry the keys if they have been stored in a wet bag - the coating protects the steel only while it is intact. Can they be used in a power tool? No. These are hand-held L-keys, not bits. Machine work needs hex bits or sockets with a 1/4" or 1/2" drive, built to take impact loading. ..

Wrenches: Indispensable tools for any job

Wrenches are among the most important tools used for working with bolts and nuts.

They are used both in professional settings and for everyday home repairs. Thanks to the variety of types, sizes, and functions, wrenches offer reliability and efficiency for various types of tasks.

In this article, we'll explore their advantages, main applications, and how to choose the right tools for your needs.

Versatility and Reliability

Wrenches are versatile tools that can be used for a variety of tasks-from auto repairs to construction and furniture assembly. Their design is engineered to ensure maximum efficiency and precision while withstanding heavy loads. With the right type of wrench, you can handle both small tasks and more complex projects.

Durability and Longevity

Modern wrenches are made from high-quality materials, such as chrome-vanadium steel, which is known for its resistance to wear and corrosion. This makes them exceptionally suitable for use in harsh conditions. Additionally, the ergonomic design of many models ensures a comfortable grip and reduces fatigue during prolonged use.

Variety of Models

The market offers a wide selection of wrenches to meet various needs. Standard wrenches are ideal for basic tasks, while specialized models such as ratchet wrenches, star-shaped wrenches, and adjustable wrenches provide greater functionality. Hex wrenches are particularly useful for working with internal screws and nuts, while adjustable wrenches offer flexibility for different sizes.

How to choose the right tool?

The choice of wrench depends on the specific task you plan to perform. If you're doing auto repairs, for example, ratchet and star wrenches will be ideal for more precise work. For general household tasks, a set of standard wrenches in various sizes is an excellent choice. It's also important that the tools are comfortable to hold and easy to use, especially during longer work sessions.

Main Applications

Wrenches are widely used in various industries and households. In auto repair shops, they are an essential tool for changing tires and working on engines. In construction, they are used for assembling metal structures and other fastening tasks. In the home, wrenches are often used for repairs, furniture assembly, and other maintenance tasks.

Advantages of High-Quality Wrenches

Investing in high-quality wrenches ensures reliability and durability. They provide better performance, load resistance, and safety during use. Furthermore, well-crafted wrenches help you complete your tasks faster and with minimal effort, making them the ideal choice for both professionals and hobbyists.

Wrenches are an important and indispensable tool for any workshop or home. They offer a combination of strength, functionality, and convenience that makes work easier in all conditions. Choosing the right wrenches will help you achieve better results and ensure reliability when carrying out your projects.
