STROXX 100-770 is a set of nine long-arm hex keys in sizes from 1.5 to 10 mm, each in its own colour, with a ball end on the long arm and a plastic holder. EAN 5707436069582.

The colour is a function, not decoration

The nine keys are powder-coated in different colours, and the size is printed on the holder below each slot. When you are working with fasteners in several sizes - typical on furniture, bicycles, machine covers and aluminium profiles - hunting for the right key disappears. Once learned, a colour is recognised from a distance and with dirty hands, which in practice beats reading a stamped size.

The ball end

The long arm ends in a ball point. It engages the screw socket at angles up to roughly 25-30° and lets you drive fasteners where the key cannot be brought square - behind a rib, down a recess, close to a wall. The straight end on the short arm stays for final tightening and for breaking a fastener loose: that is where the load peaks and it has to be carried by the full wall of the socket, or the hex rounds out.

Long arms

These are the long-arm series. The long arm not only reaches further - it is noticeably more comfortable: spinning with the long arm gives the hand a wider sweep, and tightening with the short arm turns the long one into a proper lever. The finish is nickel-plated and powder-coated, a combination that stops rust while holding the colour.

The holder

The set comes in a plastic holder with a slot for every size and a hanging hole. Keys come out and go back one at a time and stay in size order - the difference between a set that is still complete six months on and a handful of keys loose in the bottom of a bag.
