Milwaukee 7 pc Hex Key Set with Comfort Grip, 2-8 mm

Seven hex keys with a comfort grip in sizes 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 mm, with a magnetic rack. The shape is L with an overmoulded grip on the short arm - these are not T-handles.

Ball end

The long arm ends in a ball end, which enters the screw at an angle of up to 30°. That solves the case where the screw sits in a recess or behind another part and the key cannot be brought square to it. For high torque the straight end is used - the ball end engages less surface.

T-STRIKE impact cap

The keys carry a T-STRIKE impact cap with an all-metal core, which can be struck to free a rounded or rusted screw.

The grip

The overmoulded grip on the short arm gives purchase when undoing a tight screw - where a bare hex key cuts into the fingers. The size is marked on the key itself and on the rack.

The rack

The rack is magnetic, pre-drilled for wall mounting. The keys sit in size order and are visible at a glance.

Questions and Answers

Are these T-handles?

No. These are L-shaped keys with an overmoulded comfort grip on the short arm. T-handles are a different product with a crossbar at the top.

Which sizes are included?

Seven: 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 mm.

What is the ball end for?

It lets the key enter the screw at up to 30 degrees - when the screw sits in a recess or behind another part and cannot be approached square.

Which end is used for high torque?

The straight one. The ball end engages less of the hex wall and at high torque can round the screw. Use it for access, not for force.

What is T-STRIKE?

An impact cap with an all-metal core - it can be struck to free a rounded or rusted screw without wrecking the grip.

Is a rack included?

Yes, a magnetic rack pre-drilled for wall mounting. The size is marked both on it and on every key.

How does it differ from set 4932498704?

4932498704 are NUT drivers - sockets that go around the bolt, 5-13 mm. These are hex keys that go INSIDE the screw head, 2-8 mm. The two do not replace one another.
