PICA Fine Dry 7070 Deep Hole Automatic Pencil

The PICA Fine Dry is an automatic pencil with a fine Ø 0.9 mm
graphite lead, made for precise marking and setting out on site. Unlike the thicker Pica-Dry,
this one draws a fine line and allows accurate dimensions on timber, metal, tile and paper -
where a broad marker would hide the measurement itself.

Why "deep hole"

The tip is elongated and exposed, so the pencil reaches the bottom of a drilled hole or a
narrow channel and marks inside it. An ordinary pencil cannot: the body meets the edge before
the lead reaches the surface.

HB hardness and length

The lead is HB - the middle grade, dark enough to read and hard enough not
to smudge away while the workpiece is carried. The pencil is 160 mm long,
which suits a workwear pocket.

Automatic feed and contents

Lead advance is automatic, by pressing the button at the top - no twisting, no sharpener.
Five spare leads are included, so the pencil is ready to work straight away and
runs a long time before the first refill.

Protective sleeve

The pencil stows in a protective sleeve that guards the tip in a pocket or a bag. The tip is
slender and without the sleeve it snaps on the first sharp movement.

Who it is for

Electricians, fitters, carpenters and anyone who marks to a dimension rather than by eye. The
graphite is grey, giving a clear line on light surfaces and erasing cleanly from most materials.
