The M12 BLIDRC-202C is a complete kit: the tool, two M12 B2 2.0 Ah batteries, a C12 C charger and a hard case. Nothing further has to be bought to start work.

What an impact driver does

Unlike an ordinary driver, rotation here is assisted by blows along the axis of rotation. When the screw meets resistance the mechanism begins to strike, delivering torque in short bursts. That drives a long screw into hard timber without the tool wrenching your wrist - the impact mechanism absorbs the reaction, not your hand. The tool holder is 1/4" hex, so it takes standard bits and extensions.

The numbers

Maximum torque is 124 Nm at 3,000 rpm and up to 4,100 impacts per minute. Length is only 109 mm and weight 0.6 kg - dimensions that let the tool fit between joists and inside a cabinet where an ordinary driver will not. The motor is brushless, with REDLINK electronics and REDLITHIUM batteries.

Applications

Fixing timber structures and ironmongery, plugs and plasterboard, furniture, electrical installation and service work. Wood screws up to 6 x 125 mm. Its 109 mm length makes it the choice for tight and awkward places.

What is in the kit?

How does it differ from an ordinary driver?

An impact driver adds blows along the axis of rotation once the screw meets resistance. That drives long screws into hard material without your wrist taking the reaction. For drilling with a chuck you need a drill - the holder here is 1/4" hex only.

What is the maximum bolt size?

Milwaukee publishes CONTRADICTORY values for the two variants of the same machine: M12 for the kit and M14 for the bare tool. Since the mechanics are identical we state no figure - for a critical joint, check with the manufacturer.

What bits does it take?

Standard bits with a 1/4" hex shank, as well as extensions and holders with the same fitting.

How compact is it?

109 mm long and 0.6 kg. That is the difference that allows work between joists, inside a cabinet and in a junction box where a longer machine will not fit.

How does it differ from the bare tool?

The same machine is also offered as the M12 BLIDRC-0 (article 4933499689) - tool only, without batteries, charger or case. If you already own M12 batteries, the bare version is the better buy.

How long does the battery take to charge?

The C12 C is the standard charger for the M12 platform. Time depends on capacity - the packs in this kit are 2.0 Ah, so among the quicker to charge.
