The DeWalt DCK865P4T-QW is a complete professional set of eight brushless machines on the 18 V XR platform, supplied with four 5.0 Ah batteries, a twin charger and four TSTAK VI cases. The line-up covers practically the whole range of work on a building site - drilling and fastening, cutting wood and metal, grinding and hammering into concrete - without dragging mains power around.

Which machines are in the kit

The set includes the DCD796 combi drill with 70 Nm of torque, the DCF899H impact wrench with a 1/2" square drive and 950 Nm of nut-busting torque, the DCH273 SDS-Plus rotary hammer with 2.1 J impact energy, the DCG405 angle grinder for Ø 125 mm discs, the DCS570 circular saw with a 184 mm blade, the DCS367 reciprocating saw with a 28.6 mm stroke, the DCS334 top-handle jigsaw with a 26 mm stroke and the DCS355 oscillating multi-tool.

Brushless throughout

All eight machines have brushless motors. Doing away with carbon brushes removes the main source of friction and wear, which gives higher efficiency, more work done per charge, a lower running temperature and considerably longer tool life. On a set of this size the difference shows up most clearly in maintenance costs over the years.

Power and storage

The kit comes with four DCB184 18 V / 5.0 Ah batteries and a DCB132 twin charger, which charges two batteries in sequence and supports the whole XR range. The four TSTAK VI cases clip to one another and travel as a single stack, while the internal layout lets each machine travel together with its consumables.

Who it is for

The kit is aimed at construction and installation crews, electricians, plumbers and service teams equipping a workplace in one go. A shared platform means one battery type for all eight machines, one kind of charger and one store of consumables.
