The DeWalt DCK611P1D2-QW is a set of six brushless machines on the compact 12 V XR platform. It covers driving, drilling, cutting and lighting with tools that weigh under a kilogram and reach into places an 18 V tool will not. Supplied with three batteries, a charger and a fabric bag.

Which machines are in the kit

Included are the DCD701 drill driver, the DCF801 impact driver, the DCS512 circular saw with a 140 mm blade, the ultra-compact DCH072 SDS-Plus rotary hammer, the DCS353 oscillating multi-tool and the DCL510 work light.

Compactness as the main advantage

The DCD701 is just 152 mm long and weighs 0.9 kg without a battery; the DCF801 is shorter still at 125 mm for the same weight. That allows work between joists, inside cabinets, in consumer units and in roof spaces where a larger machine simply cannot turn. The DCH072 rotary hammer delivers 1.1 J of impact energy and drills 4 to 14 mm holes in concrete and brick.

Cutting and finishing work

The DCS512 saw runs a 140 mm blade, bevels to 50°, and has a cast aluminium shoe and an electronic motor brake. The DCS353 multi-tool has a 1.6° oscillating angle and a DUAL-GRIP switch for smooth speed control. The DCL510 light rotates through 180° and carries a belt hook and a magnet for attaching to steel.

Who it is for

The set is aimed at electricians, kitchen and furniture fitters, HVAC installers, building maintenance teams and anyone working mainly indoors and in confined space. The six machines cover such a team's typical working day without a trip back to the van for another tool, and the brushless motors give longer life and less maintenance under daily load.

Power

The kit includes one 5.0 Ah battery and two 2.0 Ah batteries. The large pack suits the higher-draw machines - the saw and the rotary hammer - while the compact 2.0 Ah packs keep the drivers small and light. Everything stows in a fabric carrying bag.
