Milwaukee Screwdriver Bit Set, 27 Pieces, in a Case, 4932352747
Milwaukee article number 4932352747 is a 27-piece set: 26 bits 25 mm long plus a magnetic quick-release holder, laid out in a compact plastic case.
What the set contains
The selection is weighted by actual use rather than one bit per profile - which is why some sizes appear several times:
Phillips: 2 x PH1, 2 x PH2, 1 x PH3
Pozidriv: 2 x PZ1, 4 x PZ2, 2 x PZ3
Torx: 2 x TX10, 3 x TX15, 3 x TX20, 3 x TX25, 1 x TX30, 1 x TX40
1 magnetic holder with quick release
The four PZ2 bits are no accident: this is the profile on the great majority of wood and plasterboard screws in European construction, and it wears out many times faster than any other. A set with one bit per profile runs out exactly when the PZ2 goes blunt.
S2 steel hardened to 60 HRC
The bit body is S2 steel - a tool steel chosen for its combination of hardness and toughness. The tips go through a special hardening process at temperatures up to 870 °C and reach 60 HRC.
That figure has a concrete meaning. Softer steel deforms and the tip rounds off - the bit stops seating in the recess and starts to slip. Harder than necessary is brittle and snaps under side load. 60 HRC is the band where a bit holds its geometry without breaking in normal work.
Cold forming
The tips are cold formed rather than milled. Forming presses the material into a die instead of cutting material away - the result is a more accurate profile and a densified surface structure at the tip. A more accurate profile seats more fully in the recess, which means less wear on both the bit and the screw.
The case
The set comes in a compact plastic case with an extra-large latch - a detail you appreciate opening it with gloves on or with cold hands. A window at the front lets you see the contents without opening it while keeping dust off the bits. Every bit has its own slot, so a missing one is visible at a glance.
What it is for
This is a set for general installation work - plasterboard, timber framing, fitting out, hardware and electrical work. The bits are 25 mm, the standard length for use in a holder. The quick-release holder lets you change bits one-handed, with no sleeve to unscrew.

Questions and Answers
How many bits are in the set?
26 bits plus one magnetic quick-release holder - 27 pieces in total. All the bits are 25 mm long.
Why are there four PZ2 bits?
PZ2 is the profile on the great majority of wood and plasterboard screws in European construction and wears many times faster than the rest. A set with one bit per profile runs out exactly when the PZ2 goes blunt.
What does 60 HRC hardness mean?
The band where a bit holds its geometry without breaking. Softer steel deforms and the tip rounds off; harder than necessary is brittle and snaps under side load.
What does cold forming achieve?
The material is pressed into a die rather than cut away - producing a more accurate profile and a densified surface. A more accurate profile seats more fully in the recess, reducing wear on both bit and screw.
Is it suitable for an impact driver?
This is a standard professional set, not an impact-rated range. It works with an ordinary drill driver and by hand. For intensive impact-driver work, bits with a torsion zone from an Impact range are more suitable.
What sort of holder is included?
Magnetic, with quick release - bits change one-handed with no sleeve to unscrew. The magnet also holds the screw on the tip, letting you start one-handed.
What is the case like?
A compact plastic case with an extra-large latch that opens with gloves on, and a window at the front - the contents are visible without opening it and the bits stay free of dust.

Milwaukee Shockwave 14-in-1 Multi-Bit Screwdriver, 4932498174
Milwaukee article number 4932498174 is a screwdriver with 14 functions in one body: 13 Shockwave Impact Duty bits stored in the handle, plus a removable magnetic holder with a 1/4" hex shank.
Which bits are included
The selection covers most of the drive profiles encountered in installation work:
Hex: 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm
Phillips: PH1, PH2
Pozidriv: PZ1, PZ2
Torx: T10, T15, T20, T25
Slotted: 0.8 x 5.5 mm and 1.2 x 6.5 mm
Shockwave bits - what makes them different
The bits come from the Shockwave Impact Duty range, made from Custom Alloy76 steel with a proprietary heat treatment. Two features matter in the construction:
Shock Zone - a section between the tip and the shank engineered to absorb peak torque and twist elastically instead of letting the bit snap. On an impact driver, torque is not smooth but arrives as a series of sharp impulses; those are what break ordinary bits.
Wear Guard Tip - the tip is made with increased wear resistance. What matters is the fit: a worn tip stops seating fully in the recess, starts to slip and chews out the screw head - and a ruined screw is a more expensive problem than a spent bit.
The removable holder - why it is "14-in-1"
The fourteenth function is the magnetic holder itself. It comes out of the screwdriver and goes straight into an impact driver, because it has a 1/4" hex shank. The practical consequence: the same bits work by hand and under power, with no separate holder to carry. The magnet retains the bit and also holds the screw on the tip - letting you start one-handed.
Bits in the handle
All 13 bits are stored inside the handle, with quick access. The benefit is obvious to anyone who has hunted for a bit on site: the set does not scatter, and changing bits happens where you stand. On a screwdriver carried in a pocket or a bag, that is the difference between a tool that gets used and one that stays in the box.
What it is for
This is a screwdriver for installation, maintenance and service work - where profiles change constantly and a machine is not always to hand, or the space will not take one. It does not replace an impact driver on volume work; it replaces a bag with eight screwdrivers in it.

Questions and Answers
What does "14-in-1" mean?
13 bits plus the removable magnetic holder, which is itself the fourteenth function: it comes out and goes straight into an impact driver.
Which profiles are included?
Hex 3, 4 and 5 mm; Phillips PH1 and PH2; Pozidriv PZ1 and PZ2; Torx T10, T15, T20 and T25; and two slotted - 0.8 x 5.5 mm and 1.2 x 6.5 mm.
What does the Shock Zone do?
A section between tip and shank engineered to absorb peak torque and twist elastically instead of letting the bit snap. On an impact driver, torque arrives as sharp impulses - exactly what breaks ordinary bits.
What is the Wear Guard Tip?
A tip with increased wear resistance. What matters is the fit: a worn tip stops seating fully in the recess, starts slipping and chews out the screw head - a more expensive problem than a spent bit.
Can the bits be used with a power tool?
Yes - the holder has a 1/4" hex shank and fits straight into an impact driver. The bits are from the Impact Duty range, which is to say they are made for exactly that.
Where are the bits stored?
All 13 inside the handle, with quick access. The set does not scatter and bit changes happen where you stand, with nothing else to reach for.
Does the magnet hold the screw?
Yes. The magnet in the holder retains the bit, but more usefully it also holds the screw on the tip - letting you start a screw one-handed somewhere your other hand cannot reach.

Milwaukee SHOCKWAVE Impact Bit Hex 10 mm, 25 mm, 4932500384
Milwaukee 4932500384 is an impact bit from the SHOCKWAVE Impact Duty range in Hex 10 mm, 25 mm long. The fitting is a 1/4" hex and the pack contains a single bit.
The Hex 10 mm recess
10 mm hex is the largest in this range. It is used on M12 bolts and larger structural connections - anchor plates, steel frames, machine bases. At those sizes an impact driver replaces a spanner and saves real minutes on every bolt.
What SHOCK ZONE is
An impact driver does not deliver torque smoothly - it delivers it in blows, hundreds of times a minute. Each blow is an abrupt spike in load, and that is what breaks ordinary bits: the energy reaches the tip and snaps it off.
SHOCK ZONE is a section of the shank with a reduced diameter, designed to twist elastically. It absorbs the blow and returns it like a spring, instead of passing it to the tip. Together with a special heat treatment it gives the bit a property that sounds contradictory for hardened steel: it flexes rather than breaks.
The 25 mm length
25 mm is the short "insert" standard. The bit goes into a magnetic holder or straight into the impact driver's chuck. The advantage of the short length is stability: the shorter the bit, the less runout at the tip and the more accurately it seats in the recess.
Making them last
Most bits do not wear out - they break from bad technique. Three rules cover almost everything: hold the machine square to the screw axis - angled load concentrates in one corner of the tip; release the trigger the moment the head seats - every further blow only fatigues the bit; and never work a chewed-out recess - there the bit spins in the void, heats up and wears out in minutes.

Questions and Answers
What recess does the bit have?
Hex 10 mm, 25 mm long, with a 1/4" hex fitting.
What does SHOCK ZONE do?
It is a reduced-diameter section of the shank that twists elastically and absorbs the blow like a spring instead of passing it to the tip. With the special heat treatment the bit flexes rather than breaks.
Why does an impact driver need a special bit?
Because an impact driver delivers torque in blows, hundreds of times a minute. Each blow is an abrupt load spike, and that is exactly what snaps the tip off an ordinary bit.
Does it work in an ordinary drill driver?
Yes - the fitting is a standard 1/4" hex. The bit runs in both types of machine; the impact rating simply is not fully used in a machine without impact.
Why only 25 mm long?
That is the short "insert" standard. The shorter the bit, the less runout at the tip and the more accurately it seats. For extra reach, use a magnetic holder.
How do I stop breaking bits?
Three rules: machine square to the screw axis, release the trigger as the head seats, and never work a chewed-out recess - there the bit spins in the void and wears out in minutes.
Is a holder needed?
Not necessarily - the bit goes straight into the impact driver chuck. A magnetic holder does, however, also hold the screw while you place it one-handed, which at height often decides the job.

Milwaukee SHOCKWAVE Impact Bit Hex 4 mm, 25 mm, 4932500380
Milwaukee 4932500380 is an impact bit from the SHOCKWAVE Impact Duty range in Hex 4 mm, 25 mm long. The fitting is a 1/4" hex and the pack contains 3 pieces per pack.
The Hex 4 mm recess
4 mm hex is the size for furniture bolts, confirmat screws and socket-head machine screws. It is also the one most used in furniture assembly and in bolting steel structures with M5-M6 fasteners.

Milwaukee 4932500383 is an impact bit from the SHOCKWAVE Impact Duty range in Hex 8 mm, 25 mm long. The fitting is a 1/4" hex and the pack contains a single bit.
The Hex 8 mm recess
8 mm hex is the large size - for M10 bolts, structural connections and machine components with a socket head. On such bolts a hand key takes time; with an impact driver and this bit the job goes several times faster.

Milwaukee SHOCKWAVE Impact Bit PH3, 25 mm, 4932500354
Milwaukee 4932500354 is an impact bit from the SHOCKWAVE Impact Duty range in PH3, 25 mm long. The fitting is a 1/4" hex and the pack contains 3 pieces per pack.
The PH3 recess
PH3 is the large cross-head size. It appears on bigger timber and sheet-metal screws, where PH2 already slips in the recess. If a PH2 bit cams out and chews the head, the usual reason is that the screw wants PH3.

SL 1.2 x 6.5 mm, 25 mm long, with a 1/4" hex fitting.

Milwaukee SHOCKWAVE Impact Bit Torx T25, 25 mm, 4932500375
Milwaukee 4932500375 is an impact bit from the SHOCKWAVE Impact Duty range in Torx T25, 25 mm long. The fitting is a 1/4" hex and the pack contains 3 pieces per pack.
The Torx T25 recess
T25 is the most common Torx size of all - the standard on decking screws, Torx-drive plasterboard screws, furniture fittings and mid-range structural screws. If there is one Torx bit in the box, it is usually this.
What SHOCK ZONE is
An impact driver does not deliver torque smoothly - it delivers it in blows, hundreds of times a minute. Each blow is an abrupt spike in load, and that is what breaks ordinary bits: the energy reaches the tip and snaps it off.

Milwaukee SHOCKWAVE Impact Bit Torx T40, 25 mm, 4932500367
Milwaukee 4932500367 is an impact bit from the SHOCKWAVE Impact Duty range in Torx T40, 25 mm long. The fitting is a 1/4" hex and the pack contains a single bit.
The Torx T40 recess
T40 is among the largest Torx sizes in everyday work. It appears on structural timber screws, coach screws and heavy fixings - where torque is highest and a cross head would long since have chewed out.

Milwaukee 4932500377 is an impact bit from the SHOCKWAVE Impact Duty range in Torx T40, 25 mm long. The fitting is a 1/4" hex and the pack contains a single bit.
The Torx T40 recess
T40 is the size for large structural screws - timber joists, decking, coach screws and support fixings. Tightening torque there is high, and the six-lobe recess is the only one that takes it without chewing out.

Milwaukee SHOCKWAVE Impact Bit Torx T7, 25 mm, 4932500369
Milwaukee 4932500369 is an impact bit from the SHOCKWAVE Impact Duty range in Torx T7, 25 mm long. The fitting is a 1/4" hex and the pack contains a single bit.
The Torx T7 recess
T7 is a miniature Torx size. It does not appear in construction but in electronics, appliances, power tools and precision mechanics - screws in housings, boards and covers. Impact rating may look excessive here, but it makes sense: the small recess is also the most fragile, and the Shockwave geometry protects precisely that.
