Milwaukee M12 HJ CAMO6-0 Heated Work Jacket, REALTREE XTRA, Size L

The Milwaukee M12 HJ CAMO6-0 (article number 4933478979, size L) is a work jacket with electric heating in REALTREE XTRA camouflage. It is powered by an M12 battery, which is not included - that is what the "-0" suffix denotes.

Five heating zones

Five carbon fibre zones are sewn into the fabric, placed across the chest, the back and the front pockets. The layout is deliberate: chest and back warm the body, while the pockets warm the hands, which chill first when working outdoors. Three heat settings allow adjustment to temperature and workload.

Quiet-Shell - the silent fabric

The outer material is Quiet-Shell stretch polyester, developed so it does not rustle when you move. For general work that is a detail, but for hunting, wildlife observation and outdoor photography it is the reason this model exists in camouflage - a noisy jacket ruins the approach.

Wind and moisture protection

The fabric is wind resistant and water repellent, and the extended back prevents heat loss when bending and crouching. The stretch allows free shoulder movement without the collar riding up.

Battery and USB output

The battery pocket carries a 1 A USB port, so the M12 pack also powers a phone or head torch, not just the heating. The pocket's position can be changed and the pocket itself removed. With an M12 REDLITHIUM 3.0 Ah battery the jacket heats for up to 8 hours on the low setting. It is compatible with every battery on the M12 platform.

Using it sensibly

A heated jacket does not replace a good insulating layer - it supplements one. It works best over a thin thermal layer that holds the heat against the body rather than letting it escape. While moving, the heating is usually switched off and back on at rest, which doubles the real working time from one battery.

Who it is for

The jacket is aimed at people who stay still in the cold for long periods - hunters, anglers, observers, security staff, outdoor photographers - as well as construction and installation crews working through winter. The camouflage and the quiet fabric set it apart from ordinary heated work jackets.

Questions and Answers

What size is this jacket?

Article number 4933478979 corresponds to size L. The model is offered from S to XXXL, each size having its own article number - XL is 4933478980 and XXXL is 4933479364. When ordering, check the number rather than the name alone.

Is a battery included?

No. The "-0" denotes delivery without battery or charger. The jacket runs on any battery from the Milwaukee M12 platform. If you do not own one yet, a 3.0 Ah pack or larger is sensible for a full day of heating.

How long does it heat on one charge?

Up to 8 hours on low with an M12 REDLITHIUM 3.0 Ah battery. On medium and high the time falls accordingly. The practical approach is to warm up quickly on high and then hold the temperature on low.

Where exactly does the jacket heat?

In five zones - across the chest, the back and both front pockets. The pocket zones matter, because hands chill first during stationary outdoor work and gloves are not always an option if you need to handle small items.

Can it be washed?

Heated jackets are washed with the battery removed and according to the care label. The heating elements are sewn into the fabric and made to be washed, but the battery and its connection must never be left in the garment during a cycle.

What is the USB port for?

The battery pocket has a 1 A output for charging a phone, head torch or other small device. In practice the M12 pack doubles as a power bank, which is useful during a long spell outdoors.

Why is the fabric described as "quiet"?

Quiet-Shell material is chosen so that it does not rustle when you move - unlike ordinary windproof jackets, which make a characteristic sound with every arm movement. Combined with the camouflage pattern, that makes the jacket suitable for hunting and wildlife observation.
