Milwaukee M12 HJBL6-0 HEXON TOUGHSHELL Heated Jacket, Black, Size L

The M12 HJBL6-0 is Milwaukee's heated jacket built around HEXON HEAT TECHNOLOGY, with a TOUGHSHELL stretch outer shell. This article is the black version in size L, supplied body only - no battery and no charger, which is exactly what the -0 suffix stands for. It runs on any Milwaukee M12 pack.

Five heat zones, three settings

Five heat zones cover the chest, the back and the pockets - the hands included, since they go cold first. Three settings, high, medium and low, are switched through the easy touch controller. High gets the warmth up while the body is still cold; low holds the temperature it has reached without draining the pack.

TOUGHSHELL - the fabric doing the work

The outer shell is TOUGHSHELL stretch at 437 g/m², given by Milwaukee as 90% polyester and 10% spandex. The maker rates the fabric for up to five times longer life, and it is wind resistant and water repellent - enough to keep a cold wind and light rain off, though this is not a waterproof shell.

The battery, the pocket and the run time

The battery pocket is zipped and runs right through, so the pack can sit at the front or at the back. Milwaukee quotes up to 12 hours on a single charge of an M12 REDLITHIUM 3.0 Ah battery. An M12 battery controller - the holder the pack clips into - comes with the jacket; the battery and charger are bought separately. The waist drawcord and the cuffs pull in to keep the heat from escaping.

Care, storage and sizes

Care follows Milwaukee's own instructions: hand wash, tumble dry at up to 60 °C, do not iron, do not bleach, do not wring or twist, and take the battery and holder out first. Store it cool and dry. The black HJBL6 runs S to 3XL.
