DeWalt DCK2224MP2T-QW Cordless Impact Twin Kit, McLaren F1 XR, 18 V

The DeWalt DCK2224MP2T-QW is a twin kit from the limited McLaren F1 Team edition, pairing the DCF86M impact driver with the compact DCF92M impact wrench. Both machines have brushless motors and cover the two main kinds of impact fastening - with bits and with sockets.

DCF86M impact driver

A tool with a 1/4" hex drive and a maximum torque of 206 Nm. It has three electronic speeds - 0 - 1000, 0 - 2800 and 0 - 3250 rpm - letting you start a screw gently and finish at full speed. Impacts reach 3800 per minute and it weighs just 0.95 kg.

DCF92M impact wrench

A compact wrench with a 1/2" square drive delivering 406 Nm of fastening torque and 610 Nm when loosening, at a weight of only 1.1 kg. Speed reaches 2500 rpm and impacts 3550 per minute. The torque-to-size ratio makes it suitable for tight spaces where a full-size wrench will not turn.

The two machines together

The combination is aimed at vehicle workshops, steel-frame assembly, plant maintenance and mobile crews. The driver handles screws and self-tapping fixings while the wrench takes the bolted joints. Both are light, which matters when working overhead or for long periods in an awkward position.

Brushless motors

Removing the carbon brushes removes the main wearing element in the motor. The result is higher efficiency, more work done per charge, a lower running temperature and longer life under daily load - significant on machines that work by impact.

Power and storage

The kit includes two DCB184 18 V / 5.0 Ah batteries and a DCB1104 4 A fast charger. The machines stow in a TSTAK case in the special McLaren F1 Team livery, which stacks with the rest of the storage system. Belt hooks are included.
