Stanley 1-TRA709-5T Staples, Type G, 14 mm

Stanley 1-TRA709-5T are staples for hand tackers of type G (heavy duty) with a 14 mm leg length. The manufacturer lists the article as 14mm Heavy-Duty Staples (5000 Pk) - a box of 5,000 staples in a plastic casing. The staples are galvanised with a zinc-aluminium coating for corrosion resistance.

Type G - heavy duty

Type G is Stanley's designation for staples made from thicker gauge wire. According to the manufacturer this provides good holding power in thin woods, wire netting, insulation and sheet materials. The crown width is 11.4 mm.

Applications

Difference from 1-TRA709T

Stanley offers the same staple under article 1-TRA709T as well - that is a box of 1,000 pieces. The staple itself is identical (type G, 14 mm); only the quantity in the box differs. The -5T suffix denotes the 5,000-piece box.
