Pica VISOR permanent Refill Leads, Red, 4 pcs - 991/40

Pica 991/40 is an Easy Refill Pack with 4 red refill leads for the Pica VISOR permanent marker (990 range). On the pack the manufacturer labels them as MULTI-USE wax leads for dry and wet surfaces, and in its product sheet as a water-resistant marking crayon for marking on almost all materials. Each lead measures 10 mm in diameter and 85 mm in length.

For the Pica VISOR permanent marker

The leads are made to refill the Pica VISOR permanent Longlife Industrial Marker - a marker with a twist mechanism and a 10 mm tip. Thanks to the twist mechanism the lead is replaced quickly and easily, and Pica stresses that refilling takes only seconds. The leads are stored in the plastic Easy Refill Pack, which opens with a pull tab (marked PULL).

A marking that never dries out

According to the manufacturer the wax lead never dries out and writes at full performance from the first to the very last line. The marking is water-resistant and extremely hard-wearing, which is why Pica recommends the range especially for outdoor work - on rough or wet surfaces. The manufacturer also states that one lead replaces up to 5 conventional ink or paint markers, and the low consumption and quick refilling make the solution economical and environmentally friendly.

Surfaces

For the 991 refills Pica lists tiles, plastic, metal, wood, rubber, wet rubber, wet wood, leather and brick as suitable surfaces. The manufacturer warns that the leads should not be exposed to temperatures above 40 °C, so do not leave them in a hot car or in direct sunlight.

Chloride-free colours

If you mark stainless steel, choose one of the chloride-free colours. Pica marks the blue (991/41), white (991/52) and black (991/46) refills as chloride-free and names them precisely for marking on stainless steel. The manufacturer gives no such designation for the red refills.

The VISOR permanent refills come in seven colours: green (991/36), red (991/40), blue (991/41), yellow (991/44), black (991/46), white (991/52) and fluo orange (991/054).
