Refillable Permanent Marker - Pica VISOR permanent, Blue, with Holster, 990/41

Pica VISOR permanent Marker, Blue - 990/41

Pica VISOR permanent 990/41 is a refillable industrial marker with a blue marking lead, a twist mechanism and a side holster with clip. The manufacturer Pica-Marker describes it as particularly suited to rough or wet surfaces outdoors: thanks to the high contrast, markings do not fade even in bad weather, and the lead never dries out. The photo shows the marker in its holster and without it.

Mechanism and holster

The lead is advanced by a patented twist mechanism, and the holster with clip allows one-handed operation. Pica highlights the quality of workmanship and mechanics, the ergonomic grip zone and the long service life. Because it is refillable, according to the manufacturer one lead replaces up to 5 conventional ink or paint markers.

The marking lead

The lead has a diameter of 10 mm and a length of 85 mm. The manufacturer describes it as a waterproof marking crayon, extremely hard-wearing and suited to outdoor work. The lead temperature should not exceed 40 °C. The blue lead is chloride-free - Pica names it, together with the white and black, as suitable for marking stainless steel.

Refilling

Pica VISOR permanent refill leads are sold separately in 7 colours. For the blue marker the manufacturer offers the 991/41 refill leads.

Surfaces and colours

Pica lists metal, rubber, wet rubber, plastic, tiles, glass, wet wood, brick and leather as suitable. In its earlier product sheet the manufacturer rates the marker as ideal for metal, processed wood, plastic, glass, tiles and ceramics and for dry and wet rubber, and as suitable for stone and concrete, raw wood and leather. VISOR permanent is made in seven colours: red (990/40), green (990/36), blue (990/41), yellow (990/44), black (990/46), white (990/52) and orange (990/054).
