Pica Classic 590 PRO Forester & Signing Chalk, Red - 590/40

Pica Classic 590/40 is a forester and signing chalk from the Classic 590 PRO range in red. The manufacturer describes the chalks of this line as premium-quality products made from the best raw materials for professional applications. The chalk is hexagonal, 12 mm in diameter and 120 mm long, and is designed for permanent marking on dry and wet wood.

Rich colour and high breaking strength

Thanks to its high pigmentation the chalk leaves a rich, clearly visible mark. Pica also states a high breaking strength. The chalk is wrapped in a paper label that keeps fingers clean while working - the manufacturer lists it as one of the advantages of the range.

Lumber - dry and wet

In its earlier product sheet Pica calls the 590 PRO a "lumber and industrial marking crayon" and describes it as ideal for permanent marking on dry and wet lumber. Besides wood, according to the manufacturer the chalk is also suitable for metal, stone, concrete and plastic. Its list of suitable surfaces reads brick, stone, concrete, wood, wet wood, rubber, metal, plastic and paper.

Chalk holder

For this chalk the manufacturer recommends its Pica Classic 588 holder. Pica describes it as a holder with a high-quality push mechanism made to match the brand's chalks. The holder is sold separately.

Colours and packaging

The Classic 590 PRO range comes in six colours: green (590/36), red (590/40), blue (590/41), yellow (590/44), black (590/46) and white (590/52). This page is for the red chalk 590/40. The manufacturer packs the chalks 12 to a hangable cardboard box. In the same group Pica also offers the Classic 591 ECO range - also hexagonal, 11 mm in diameter and 110 mm long.
