Pica Classic 575 Tube Marker, Blue, 50 ml - 575/41

Pica Classic 575/41 is a tube marker filled with blue marking paste, 50 ml. The manufacturer offers it for marking on all materials, but above all on extremely rough and difficult-to-mark surfaces - such as oily or rusty metal. The marking is permanent, abrasion-resistant and waterproof, and according to Pica it stays visible even after exposure to extreme temperatures.

Stainless steel ball tip, 3 mm

The paste is applied through a tip with a 3 mm stainless steel ball, which the manufacturer describes as virtually corrosion-free. The line width is 2-4 mm. Pica groups the tube among the industrial markers of its Classic Line.

Which surfaces it marks

For the 575 marker the manufacturer lists the following surfaces: metal, wood, wet wood, glass, tiles, brick, plastic, rubber and wet rubber. Its main purpose according to the manufacturer, though, remains extremely rough and difficult-to-mark surfaces - oily or rusty metal - where the marking has to be permanent and must not wash off with water.

Where it works best

In its earlier product sheet Pica groups the materials into three tiers. The marker is ideal for metal. It is also suitable for tiles and ceramics, stone and concrete, processed wood, glass and raw wood - dry and wet. It gives an acceptable result on rubber - dry and wet - and on plastic. On plastic and rubber parts it is therefore worth testing the marking on an inconspicuous spot first.

The Pica Classic 575 tube marker comes in six colours: green (575/36), red (575/40), blue (575/41), yellow (575/44), black (575/46) and white (575/52). This page is for the blue variant 575/41. The manufacturer ships the tubes in trade boxes of 10, while the shop price is for 1 tube.

An alternative from the Innovative Line

For more frequent work Pica offers the Pica-Gel signal marker as a more convenient development of the tubes. It uses a twist mechanism, so the paste does not have to be squeezed out by hand and marking is quicker.
