Carpenter and Copying Pencil Pica Classic 547 DRY & WET - 547/24-100

Pica Classic 547 is a special marking pencil for dry and wet wood. Its two halves carry different leads: the "DRY" half has 2H carpenter graphite for marking on dry timber, and the "WET" half has an aniline copying lead - a special graphite with a water-soluble violet colour for marking on wet timber. The pencil is 24 cm long, and 547/24-100 is the item number under which Pica supplies it in display boxes of 100.

Two pencils in one

The pencil can be sharpened on both ends, so each half is used on its own. The manufacturer specifies an oval shape and a body of easy-to-sharpen wood from sustainably managed forests. The blue barrel is printed "Pica Classic DRY | WET Blei | Cop 547".

Surfaces and trades

Pica lists wet wood, wood, brick, stone and metal as suitable surfaces. In its earlier product sheet the manufacturer recommends the pencil for building construction, painters and woodwork.

Manufacturer's packaging

Pica supplies the pencils in display boxes of 100 measuring 175 x 252 x 255 mm (width x height x depth). The box is printed "100 Stück/pcs/pces. 547/24-100", and the manufacturer recommends the Pica Pocket holster with an integrated blade for carpenter pencils as an accessory.

Accessories

For sharpening Pica offers the Jumbo Sharpener 560-12. The Pica Pocket holster and the sharpener are not included and are sold separately. The wooden pencil group of Pica Classic also includes the 540 carpenter pencil, the 541 stonemason pencil, the FOR ALL 545 universal pencil and the DOUBLE 559 two-colour pencil.
