Pica Classic 546 FOR ALL Black & White Universal Pencil - 546/24-50

Pica Classic 546 FOR ALL Black & White is a universal marking pencil for light and dark surfaces. One half has a thick 2B graphite lead and the other a thick white colour lead, so one pencil marks both light and dark materials. Article 546/24-50 is the designation under which Pica supplies the pencil in a display box of 50. The photo shows the pencil itself.

Black half and white half

The black half writes with a high-quality universal 2B graphite, the white half with a high-quality universal white colour lead. The pencil is sharpened on both ends, so it is ready to use with either colour. Its shape is triangular.

For smooth and wet surfaces

In its product sheet Pica names the pencil for marking on all glossy surfaces - metal, glass, plastic, tiles, ceramics, laminate. The lines are rich even on wet surfaces, and the marking is easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth. The manufacturer lists metal, wood, wet wood, plastic, tiles, brick, paper, rubber, wet rubber and glass as suitable surfaces.

In the material ratings of its earlier product sheet Pica rates the pencil as ideal for metal, processed wood, raw wood (dry and wet), plastic, tiles and ceramics, suitable for stone and concrete, and acceptable on rubber (dry and wet), glass and leather. The manufacturer names it for building construction, locksmithing, mechanics, plumbing and sanitary work, tiling, underground construction and woodwork.

Length and packs

On its current page Pica gives the pencil length as 23 cm; its earlier product sheet lists the same pencil as 24 cm. The manufacturer offers it in two packs: a display box of 50 (546/24-50) measuring 132 x 183 x 255 mm and a hangable box of 10 (546/24-10).

Sharpening and carrying

For sharpening Pica recommends the Jumbo 560-12 sharpener for thick pencils, and for carrying the Pica Pocket holster, which according to the manufacturer is ideal in combination with thick wooden pencils of all kinds. In the Classic range Pica also offers the For All 545 universal pencil.
