Pica Classic 541 Stonemason Pencil, Graphite 10H, 30 cm - 541/30-100

Pica Classic 541 is a stonemason pencil with an oval cross-section and a graphite lead in the special hardness 10H. The manufacturer Pica-Marker offers it in professional quality for marking stone, concrete and brick. Article 541/30-100 is the 30 cm version. The photo shows the Classic 541 pencil, which the manufacturer offers in 24 and 30 cm lengths.

Wood and graphite

The body is made of easy-to-sharpen wood from sustainably managed forests. The graphite lead is high-quality and robust, with high breaking strength. The 10H grade is a special hardness that Pica also uses for the stonemason leads of its BIG Dry automatic pencil.

Which surfaces it marks

Pica lists brick, stone, concrete and wood as suitable. In its earlier product sheet the manufacturer rates the pencil as ideal for stone and concrete and acceptable on processed and raw wood and on metal. For wood Pica has a separate carpenter pencil - the Classic 540. The product sheet lists the pencil for building and underground construction.

What 541/30-100 means

At Pica the designation 541/30-100 stands for a display box of 100 pencils of the Classic 541 in 30 cm, while 541/30-10 is a hangable box of 10. The pencil is also made in 24 cm - articles 541/24-100 and 541/24-10. The shop price is for 1 pencil.

Sharpening and carrying

For sharpening thick wooden pencils Pica recommends the Jumbo 560-12 sharpener, and for carrying and sharpening in one the Pica Pocket holster with built-in blade, which according to the manufacturer suits thick wooden pencils of all kinds. As an alternative to the wooden pencil Pica also offers BIG Dry - a carpenter pencil with automatic lead feed at the push of a button, for which there are 10H stonemason leads (6055).
