Pica Classic 520 Permanent Marker Set, 4 Colours - 520/04

Pica Classic 520/04 is a set of 4 permanent markers with a round tip in red, blue, black and white. The manufacturer Pica-Marker presents it in the Classic 520 range and highlights as its distinctive feature that the fourth colour in the set is white. White is useful for marking dark materials.

What is in the set

The four markers sit in a clear plastic case with a hang hole. On the label the manufacturer states that the markers write on almost all surfaces, marks a round tip with a 1-4 mm line and shows the colours as dots - red, blue, black and white. The set is also included in the assortment of the white Pica Instant White 522/532 markers.

The Classic 520 range

Pica Classic 520 markers use alcohol-based Dry Safe ink. According to the manufacturer the marking is waterproof and smudge-proof after about 5 seconds, the marker can stay uncapped for up to 48 hours without drying out, and the ink is free from xylene and toluene. Pica lists metal, wood, plastic, tiles, glass, paper, rubber and brick as suitable surfaces. The earlier Classic 520 product sheet rates the markers as ideal for metal, processed wood, plastic and glass, suitable for tiles and ceramics and acceptable on dry rubber, stone and concrete, raw wood and leather, and names glaziers, locksmiths, mechanics and plumbers among the trades.

Single markers and a wide tip

The Classic 520 range is also sold as single round-tip markers: black (520/46), red (520/40), green (520/36) and blue (520/41). When a wider line is needed, the manufacturer also offers a wedge-tip version with a 2-6 mm line - Pica Classic 521, in the same four colours. Pica sells the white round-tip marker separately as the Classic 522 Instant White.
