Refill Leads for Pica BIG Dry - Summer-Heat, Yellow and Red, up to 70 °C, 12 pcs, 2x5x150 mm, 6071

Pica BIG Dry Summer-Heat Refill Leads, Yellow and Red, 12 pcs - 6071

Pica 6071 is a box of 12 "Summer-Heat" refill leads for the Pica BIG Dry automatic construction pencil. The leads in the box come in two colours - yellow and red. These are Pica's special summer leads, which according to the manufacturer are stable at temperatures up to 70 °C. Their profile is 2 x 5 mm and their length 150 mm.

Summer leads for hot days

Pica offers the Summer-Heat leads as a separate type of lead for the BIG Dry: on the pack the manufacturer describes them as stable up to 70 °C and suitable for most surfaces. In the BIG Dry lead range they sit alongside the universal FOR ALL leads, the water-jet-resistant civil engineering leads, the carpenter 2H, the stonemason 10H and the Aniline 2.0 leads for wet wood.

For the Pica BIG Dry pencil

The leads are for the Pica BIG Dry Longlife Construction Marker (article 6060) - Pica's automatic pencil for carpenters and builders with rectangular 2 x 5 mm leads, 150 mm long. The pencil has a push mechanism for lead feed, a sharpener and dust and moisture protection, and the leads are loaded from behind.

Surfaces

On the pack Pica states that the Summer-Heat leads are suitable for most surfaces, except glass-smooth and glossy surfaces. Before working on a new material it is a good idea to test the marking on an inconspicuous spot.

What is in the box

The twelve leads come in Pica's transparent plastic box labelled "12 Ersatz-Minen - Summer-Heat" with article number 6071. The box carries a yellow and a red dot - the colours of the leads inside - and the "Summer-Heat" description is printed in German, English, French and Dutch. Pica's other summer set for BIG Dry, article 6070, also contains graphite leads (4 graphite, 4 red and 4 yellow), whereas 6071 holds only yellow and red leads.
