Pica BIG Dry Civil Engineering Refill Leads for Wet Cutting, 12 Pieces - 6040

Pica BIG Dry 6040 is a set of 12 refill leads for the Pica BIG Dry automatic construction pencil, which the manufacturer calls Civil Engineering Leads (Tiefbauminen in German). The box holds 4 pink, 4 blue and 4 white leads. They are water jet resistant and permanent and designed for wet cutting of tiles and stone. The cross-section is a rectangular 2 x 5 mm and the length is 150 mm.

Water jet resistant

The marking from these leads withstands water and stays visible when the material is cut wet. Pica describes them as waterproof and permanent. The manufacturer warns to protect the leads from temperatures above 40 °C - the warning is also printed on the pack itself in several languages.

The manufacturer lists stone and wet stone, brick and wet brick, metal, wet wood and plastic as suitable surfaces. On its page Pica marks the article as available from the beginning of 2025, so it is a relatively new refill in the BIG Dry range.

The Pica BIG Dry is a construction pencil with a push mechanism for automatic lead feed, an integrated lead sharpener and maximum dust and moisture protection. The 2 x 5 mm leads allow precise edge guidance when marking. The manufacturer states that the refills are inserted into the pencil from the rear.
