Milwaukee M12 PCSS54-0 RAPTORXL Cordless Pipe Cutter, 12V, 35/42/54 mm

The M12 PCSS54-0 is a cordless pipe cutter from the RAPTORXL range, built to cut pipe that is already installed, in place, without stripping out the run. It handles stainless steel, carbon steel and copper in 35, 42 and 54 mm sizes. A brushless motor running at 330 rpm cuts 54 mm stainless pipe in under 30 seconds, according to the manufacturer.

Cutting installed pipe

The auto-locking mechanism grips the pipe and allows a cut with as little as 43 mm of clearance around it - enough for pipe run close to a wall or alongside another line. The jaws adjust themselves to the diameter, so no manual setting is needed when the size changes. A rotating head speeds up the cut and reduces strain on the wrist, while a viewing window at the cutting mechanism together with a built-in light let the user see exactly where the cut falls.

What it cuts

Three diameters - 35, 42 and 54 mm - at a wall thickness of up to 1.5 mm. The materials are stainless steel, carbon steel and copper, so the tool covers both stainless sanitary installations and copper lines in heating and air conditioning. Platform and power

The tool belongs to the M12 platform and runs on any Milwaukee M12 battery. The -0 article means the bare tool only is supplied - no battery, no charger and no case. The brushless motor, the REDLITHIUM battery pack and REDLINK electronics work together for longer run time and protection against overload.

Applications

Plumbing and sanitary installations, heating and air conditioning, service work on existing pipework, refurbishments where the pipe is cut in place, and work in tight ducts or behind panelling where an angle grinder will not fit.
