Fervi PPS150/29M14 is a polyurethane backing pad with a hook-and-loop face for an angle grinder or orbital sander. Diameter Ø150 mm, thickness 29 mm, thread M14, maximum speed 7000 rpm. EAN 8012667325756.

What it does

The pad is the carrier - it screws onto the machine's spindle and the abrasive discs stick to its hook-and-loop face. Without it an angle grinder can only cut and grind; with it, it becomes a sanding and polishing machine.

The polyurethane

The body is polyurethane, not rigid plastic. The difference shows immediately: polyurethane flexes slightly and follows the surface instead of working only on its edge. On a slightly domed or uneven substrate that is the difference between even sanding and the arc-shaped marks you then have to sand out again.

The 7000 rpm limit

7000 rpm is the ceiling, and it matters: most 125 mm angle grinders run at 11000 rpm and above, so an ordinary grinder without speed control is not suitable. You need a machine with speed electronics - a polisher, or a grinder with a speed dial.

The M14 thread

M14 is the standard thread on European angle grinders from 115 mm upward. The pad screws straight on, with no adapter. Hand-tight is enough - in use the direction of rotation keeps tightening it.

Ø150 or Ø125

Fervi offers the same pad in Ø125 mm (PPS125/27M14, 8000 rpm). Choose by the abrasive discs you work with, not by the machine: a 150 mm disc on a 125 mm pad overhangs the rim and tears.

Dry use

The pad is for dry sanding. The hook-and-loop face and the adhesive beneath it do not tolerate water - wet use lifts them and after a few cycles the discs stop holding.
