The G-Series battery can be identified by its white or gray top and offers a battery capacity of 1.3 Ah in 14.4V and 18V platforms. With the G-Series DC18WA charger, a 60-minute charging time is achieved.

G-Series batteries are not compatible with the Makita LXT line of cordless tools or chargers.

The HP457DZ cordless drill/driver is powered by an 18V G-Series battery (not included), with variable speed control via the trigger to allow the user to match the speed to the application, delivering up to 21,000 RPM, 1,400 RPM, and 42 Nm of maximum torque for a wide range of applications. The HP457DZ is not compatible with 18V LXT batteries or chargers.

The HP457DZ features 2 mechanical gears: a high-speed mode for fast drilling in light applications and a low-speed mode for heavy-duty applications requiring high torque. All-metal gear construction ensures high transmission durability. 16 torque settings plus a drill mode for additional fastening control.

The drill/driver combo is equipped with a single-sleeve keyless chuck to allow for quick and easy one-handed bit installation and removal, a conveniently located reverse switch, and a rubberized soft grip for enhanced user control and comfort during use.
