Powder-metallurgy ring gear

Chrome-vanadium steel and ergonomics

The direction switch is under the thumb and can be changed without taking the hand off the tool, and the socket lock button keeps the socket on the square when you are working upwards or overhead.

What this size is for

The 1/4 inch square is the small-assembly size - electrical panels, interior trim, automotive clips and anything tightened with a socket up to 13 mm. At 150 mm the lever is short and will not let you apply enough torque to shear a small fastener.
