The Makita HB350 is an electric magnetic drill designed for precise drilling of holes in steel materials with a diameter of up to 35 mm and a depth of up to 2 inches. The model combines a magnetic base, stand, and drilling motor in a compact design, which facilitates transport, quick positioning, and operation both in workshops and on construction sites, in metal shops, and during service work.

The machine is suitable for working on steel plates, beams, pipes, and profiles with a minimum thickness of 6 mm. Thanks to the electromagnetic base with a holding force of 8000 N, the drill is securely fixed to ferromagnetic surfaces and ensures confidence when drilling in various positions, including in areas with limited access.

The Makita HB350 is equipped with a motor rated at 1050 W input power, 10 A, and 120 V operating voltage. The no-load speed is 850 rpm, making it suitable for use with core bits and twist drills with a 3/4-inch Weldon shank. The machine has a fixed speed and is designed for efficient core drilling with consistent performance.

The dovetail-type sliding mechanism ensures smooth feed and more precise control during drilling. The adjustable motor height allows for adaptation to the thickness of the material being processed, and the 6 19/64-inch stroke provides sufficient working range for deeper holes.

Cooling and protection during operation

The built-in spindle cooling system delivers coolant directly to the cutting area via a removable 500 ml reservoir. This helps limit heat build-up, improves hole quality, and reduces chip and burr buildup on the machined surface.

For safer operation, the model features a removable guard around the cutting tool, double insulation, and a polyester safety strap. The strap is particularly useful for horizontal or overhead applications where additional safety is required.
