DeWalt DT71562 is a 32-piece set - 25 mm bits in S2 steel plus a magnetic bit holder, in a Tough Case. The fitting is a 1/4" hex.

Which sizes are included

The set covers the four recesses met in everyday work:

• Phillips - PH1, PH2, PH3
• Pozidriv - PZ1, PZ2, PZ3
• Slotted - SL3, SL4, SL5, SL6.5
• Torx - T15, T20, T25, T27, T30, T40

The most-used sizes - PZ2 and PH2 - are duplicated several times over. That is not padding: a bit is a consumable, and in a set with one of the size you actually use, that one runs out while the rest are still new.

S2 steel

The bits are S2 steel - a chrome-molybdenum tool steel used specifically for driver bits. It combines tip hardness, so the point does not round off in the recess, with enough toughness not to snap under a sudden torque spike. It is the standard below which there is no point going for daily work.

The magnetic holder

The set includes a magnetic bit holder. It solves two things at once: it holds the bit so it does not stay behind in the screw head, and it holds the screw while you place it one-handed. Working at height or on a ladder, the second often decides whether the job is possible at all.

The case

Tough Case is a connectable box with a clear lid. The transparency has a concrete benefit with 30 bits that look nearly identical: you see which slot is empty before opening it, and you know which size to buy.

Who it is for

The set is for everyday general work - fitting ironmongery, assembly, consumer units, maintenance. The bits are 25 mm, the short standard: they run straight in the driver chuck, or through the supplied holder when extra reach is needed.
