The DeWalt DCMPW1000N-XJ is a cordless pressure washer on the 54 V XR FLEXVOLT platform with a BL48 brushless motor and a three-piston axial pump. It ships without battery or charger. Working pressure comes in two steps - 45 bar and 69 bar - at a flow rate of up to 220 litres per hour.

Works without a mains water supply

This is the key difference from an ordinary pressure washer. The machine draws water from a container - a bucket, drum, barrel, tank or even directly from a lake or river - through the supplied 6-metre suction hose. Neither mains power nor a water connection is required, which makes it usable where a conventional washer simply cannot work.

Two pressure settings

The low setting of 45 bar suits washing a car, a bicycle, garden furniture and anything where higher pressure would damage paint or seals. The high setting of 69 bar handles heavily soiled surfaces - mud on plant, deposits on concrete, dried mortar on tools.

What it can and cannot do

It is worth being clear about the limits. Mains-powered domestic washers typically run at 100 - 150 bar, more than double this. This machine does not replace them for daily cleaning of large areas, paving and facades. Its strength lies elsewhere - where there is neither power nor a tap, and machinery, tools, boots or a vehicle need washing. A container of water and one battery turn any point on site into a washing station.

Attachments supplied

Supplied with an adjustable nozzle for changing the spray angle, a turbo nozzle for a concentrated rotating jet on stubborn dirt, a 0.5 l detergent bottle for applying foam, a hose adapter, a shoulder strap and a mesh bag for the accessories.

Runtime

With an XR FLEXVOLT 9 Ah battery the machine runs for up to 60 minutes. As a pressure washer draws heavily, battery capacity directly determines how much area you will clean - with smaller packs the time falls accordingly.

Who it is for

The machine is aimed at construction and installation crews, agricultural and forestry operations, mobile vehicle servicing, and people involved in hunting, camping, cycling and off-road vehicles. What these have in common is that the dirt appears where there is no infrastructure.
