Bosch Tape Measure 1600A03AB7, 3 m

The Bosch 1600A03AB7 is a hand tape measure with a 3 m blade, 19 mm wide, with automatic locking. The blade is nylon-coated and printed on both sides, and the measuring accuracy meets EU accuracy class II. The tool weighs 0.160 kg.

Automatic locking

The Autolock mechanism holds the blade out without a button being held down. One press releases it and the blade returns. Working alone, that is the difference between a reading you have to hold and a reading that stays put while you mark.

Nylon-coated blade

The steel blade carries a nylon coating that absorbs the abrasion of being pulled out and drawn back through dust and concrete and keeps the printing from wearing away. The blade is printed on both sides, so the measurement can be read with the blade turned over - overhead, say, or inside a recess. The stated maximum stand-out is 1.8 m: that is how far the blade stays straight horizontally before it folds.

Compact body and belt clip

The housing is robust and compact, with soft-grip areas on the handle that reduce strain over a long measuring session. A belt clip means the tape travels hooked on rather than in a pocket, and at 160 g it is no burden on the belt all day.

Applications

Short interior measurements in installation and finishing work, setting out cuts, positioning cabinets and panels, checking openings and spacings between elements. Three metres covers a room, a door frame, a worktop or a piece of furniture without carrying a heavier tape.
