Bosch F016800292 are gardening gloves in size L. They are cut close-fitting - the glove sits like a second skin instead of bunching in the palm. They are intended for general garden work.

Why the close fit matters

A loose glove is easier to put on and worse at everything else. The surplus material in the palm twists when you grip, and the fingertips stay empty - which is exactly why in loose gloves you cannot pick up a screw, a plug or a small seed. A close-fitting cut keeps the feel in your fingers, so you can work without taking the glove off every two minutes.

Construction

The palm and fingertips are reinforced - the zones that abrade against a spade, a rake and secateurs. The back and the upper side of the fingers are knitted, breathable fabric, letting the hand breathe in the sun. The wrist closes with a hook-and-loop strap that seals snugly and stops soil, seed or dust getting in from above.

What they protect against - and what they do not

The gloves protect against scratches, dirt and pricks in general garden work - weeding, planting out, shaping shrubs, handling fertiliser and soil. They are intended only for minimal-risk activities.

What has to be said clearly: these are not cut-resistant gloves. Work with a hedge trimmer, chainsaw, angle grinder or sharp metal edges requires gloves with a declared cut-resistance rating to EN 388. No gardening glove stops a chainsaw chain.

The size
