Big Wipes Heavy-Duty Hand Cleaning Wipes, 100 Pieces

Big Wipes Heavy-Duty are textured wipes for cleaning hands, tools and surfaces. The tub has a red cap and holds 100 wipes. This is the Big Wipes line built first and foremost for hands.

The two sides

The wipe works by dual action: one side is textured and scrubs, the other is smooth and lifts. In practice you scrub with the rough side until the dirt releases, then turn the wipe so it does not go straight back on. That is the difference from ordinary wet wipes, which mostly move the oil around.

What it removes

The tub lists paint, adhesive, PU foam, silicone, gap fill and oil. That list is why these live in the van: PU foam and silicone are the two things that get on your hands on site and come off with neither soap nor an ordinary wet wipe. Foam has to be caught before it cures - after that nothing shifts it.

Not only for hands

The same wipe cleans the tool housing, the handles, a spirit level's window, the case and the van dashboard. One item on the shelf instead of two - a hand cleaner and a tool cleaner.

The 100-wipe tub

100 wipes is the van and workshop format. The tub opens one-handed and the wipes pull through the centre hole. The cap has to go back on - it is the only thing keeping them wet, and a tub left open loses the top few.

Fragrance

This run carries the Sports Active fragrance. A small thing, but it matters working indoors, where the strong solvent smell of some competitors is unpleasant for the whole crew.

Telling the range apart

Big Wipes codes the range by cap colour: red is Heavy-Duty, green is Multi-Surface. The tub body is yellow on both, so when ordering, look at the cap and not the tub.
