A belt hook solves one specific problem: where the tool goes while both hands are busy. On a ladder, on scaffolding or on a roof, setting it down is not an option and bending to the bag every time is lost minutes. The hook screws to the side of the housing and the tool hangs on your belt ready to grab.

Long, not standard

This is the long version (Makita call it "draaghaak lang"). The larger throat clears a thicker belt without needing to be slackened - the difference shows most with a tool belt that carries pouches and is bulky along its whole length.

Makita lists over 450 machines this hook applies to - DDF series drill drivers, impact drivers, impact wrenches, DBN nailers and many more on the LXT 18 V platform. The hook screws into the threaded boss provided on the housing; check your machine has that boss on the side you want.
