Milwaukee 49560077 Bimetal Metal Drill Bit

The bimetal construction is made of high-alloy steel with high-speed steel teeth laser-welded to the body. The specially spaced 4 to 6 teeth per inch offer a number of advantages, such as faster and more aggressive cutting and improved heat dissipation during cutting, which in turn ensures a longer service life for the cutting edge. It is made of Matrix II premium high-speed steel, which contains 8% cobalt. This allows the teeth to maintain their initial high hardness at high operating temperatures when cutting hard metals, such as stainless steel and acid-resistant steel, as well as softer materials, such as wood. The back walls are made of thick steel, ensuring durability even after prolonged use.
