Crown design-a variable tooth design with 4-6 teeth per inch and a positive tooth angle of 10°-provides the following advantages:

Crown Material:

Matrix II high-speed steel is used for the tooth area of the hole-making crown. Matrix II contains 8% cobalt, which allows the teeth to retain their original hardness even at high operating temperatures when used in metal-cutting applications.

Bimetal construction

The high-speed steel teeth are laser-welded onto a high-quality steel body. The teeth are then vacuum-hardened to 65 HRC at a temperature of 600 °C to achieve maximum durability and service life.

Thanks to the high wear resistance of the Matrix II material, these crowns are ideal for cutting hard materials, such as stainless steel and acid-resistant steels, as well as softer materials like wood.

Core thickness:

1.27 mm hardened steel to maintain its shape while also providing built-in flexibility.

The effective cutting depth is 41 mm.

Back plate design:

The back plates are constructed from thick steel, ensuring that the holes will not enlarge over time.

The thick backs add strength and rigidity, reducing vibrations.
