The Makita DLX2590TJ is a professional two-piece kit built around brushless motors and the Makita LXT 18 V platform. It pairs the DHP492 combi drill with the DTW300 impact wrench, making it a natural choice for fitters, installers and service crews who need drilling and high-torque fastening from a single battery system.

Makita DHP492 Combi Drill

The DHP492 delivers a maximum fastening torque of 130 Nm in hard joints and 65 Nm in soft joints. Its two-speed gearbox (0 - 550 / 0 - 2100 min^-1) lets you switch between maximum power and fast drilling. The tool runs in three modes - screwdriving, drilling and hammer drilling - handling wood up to 76 mm, steel up to 13 mm and masonry up to 16 mm. A 21-stage clutch, a 1.5 - 13 mm keyless chuck, an electric brake and twin LED work lights give precise control in every application.

Makita DTW300 Impact Wrench

The DTW300 is an exceptionally compact wrench - just 144 mm long - with a 1/2" square drive, 330 Nm of maximum fastening torque and 580 Nm of nut-busting torque. Electronic 4-stage impact power selection allows accurate control on scaffolding, vehicle fasteners and steel structures. XPT technology protects the tool against dust and moisture, while the full-speed mode shortens trigger travel for faster work.

Batteries, Charger and Case

The kit ships with two BL1850B 18 V / 5.0 Ah batteries with charge level indicators, a DC18RC rapid charger and a rugged Makpac Type 3 case that stacks with the rest of the Makpac system. The batteries are compatible with the entire Makita LXT 18 V range.

Applications

Together the two machines cover a wide range of jobs - timber and steel framing, scaffolding, partition building, workshop and automotive servicing, plus concrete drilling for brackets and anchors. A shared LXT platform means one battery type for both tools and less downtime on site.
